My name is Mrs. Halliburton, my family and I live in the Yuba Sutter area. I attended public schools in the Yuba-Sutter area from kindergarten through High School. My favorite subjects in school has always been math and science. In 2009, I obtained my Bachelor's of Business Administration and later that year my son was born. While staying home to raise a family I opened a home daycare and focused on school readiness with my preschoolers. I have always had a passion for teaching and as my children became more independent I was able to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. I completed the CalState TEACH credentialing program at California State University, Fresno in 2020.
My favorite spot at Cobblestone is the garden, that the 2nd grade students plant each year. My favorite season is fall, therefor my favorite school event is the fall festival. My favorite days of the year are dress up days, Disney and book character dress up days are my absolute favorite. If there is one thing my students know about me, it is my love for coffee. One thing they don't know is that I love collecting special coins like wheat pennies and indian head pennies. The best part of Cobblestone school and what I love the most are my students, each one is special and unique in their own way. scott retired military When I'm not in the classroom my family keeps me pretty busy. My husband is retired from the Coast Guard, so our summers are typically spent on the water boating. We also enjoy camping, fishing, and horseback riding. Our family attends many local events like the fair where we support FFA and 4-H youth at the Youth Livestock Auction. During the winter we enjoy weekends in Tahoe snow skiing, sledding and ice skating. I personally enjoy running and have set a goal to run one half marathon in each of our fifty states. So far, I have completed ten. My family also spends many hours serving our local community and communities just across the border in Mexico. I have been building homes for those in need since I was in middle school and then began assisting in surgery clinics that serve children with cleft palates and/or cleft lips as an adult. When we are at home I enjoy sewing, baking and fostering kittens from our community. Please feel free to contact me at any time using the contact form below or calling the front office. |
